It is that time of year again where FitRec makes some adjustments to its operations and services due to upcoming special events. Please review the bullet points below for some dates and times where our facility will be adjusting its operating hours OR certain services will be unavailable for general usage in the month of May.
- Thursday, May 2: Facility open 5:30 a.m.-6 p.m. due to FitRec Employee Appreciation Banquet. KidRec will not be open from 5-8 pm that day.
- The Humanity 5K Run/Walk will be held at Moraine Valley Community College on Saturday, May 4. Traffic and parking will be affected, especially during the hours of 8 am to noon.
- The FitRec women’s general locker room will be closed and unavailable for use starting on Wednesday, May 8 through Friday, May 10 from 7:30am – 3pm on all three days. Campus Operations will be performing maintenance during this timeframe. Members with reserved lockers will need to plan accordingly. The Athletics’ Visitors Women’s Locker Room (H107) will serve as the primary alternate changing location. The Family Changing Room will be available as normal.
- Gym courts closed May 13-20: The gym courts will be closed May 13-20 in preparation for pre- and post-MVCC Graduation ceremonies.
- Friday, May 17: Facility closed all day for Moraine Valley graduation ceremonies.
- Monday, May 27: Facility closed all day for Memorial Day.
